The Refinitiv Agriculture Research team provides market insight, analysis, and instantaneous transparency to our clients interested in the agriculture markets. We seek an analyst to help manage and expand a successful program forecasting supply and demand of major commodity crops worldwide, cash price collection, and market analysis of fundamentals and key drivers of demand. The candidate for this position will need to perform market research and analysis including data collection, data manipulation, data publication, quantitative analysis, and report writing.
Responsibilities:
- Everyday communication with market operators concerning prices and market trends
- Build and expand network of contacts
- Input prices into database in a timely and accurate manner
- Readiness to answer traders' questions as a response to their willingness of traders to share information about the prices and market trends
- Produce everyday notes about the information received to confirm the correct prices in case of future disputes
- Weekly report generation and collaboration with colleagues on price changes and trends over the past week
- Writing short analytical notes on the market, trends, weather for Facebook, telegram channel
- Constant monitoring of Agricultural news in order to be aware of trends and factors that affect prices
- Collaboration with the wider team (front line, proposition & product management) in order to constantly improve our content and implement customer feedback.
- Sharing market knowledge and provide thought leadership, speaking and presenting at the events
- Develop local professional community
Required Skills:
- Experience in analytics within the agriculture sector, 2 years+
- Experience working with agriculture prices
- Outstanding understanding of agricultural market trends
- Exceptional Time Management skills
- Diligence around data input & management
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Innovative & bold thinking
- Ukrainian and Russian - Fluent, English - Advanced
- Able to work well both independently and in teams/team members in other locations
